Contestants must be a resident of Georgia or be a full time student in Georgia to compete for the Georgia and Peach State titles. Southern States is an open title to contestants in the South Eastern region.
Age divisions will coordinate with our national pageant. Contestants must be between the ages of 5-24 on September 1, 2016. September 1st is the date that will determine the age division that the contestant will compete in at both the state and national pageant. She will compete in the same division for both state and if she qualifies for nationals.
Everyone wins a 3 post trophy and a crown.
State Title Information
Miss Georgia State Titles will be awarded 1st in each age division and will come from formal wear, casual wear and interview scores only. Open to Georgia contestants only.
Georgia State Queens will receive a full round crown, trophy, state sash, contestant money collected (final amount is determined by how many contestants in that division) and she will receive her registration fee paid to Nationals 2016.
Miss Southern States Titles will be awarded 2nd in each age division and will come from formal wear, casual wear and interview scores only. Open to all contestants only.
Southern States Queens will receive a full round crown, trophy, state sash, and she will receive her registration fee paid to Nationals 2016.
Miss Peach State Titles will be awarded 3rd in each age division. This title acts as a novice title.
NEW contestants to Southern Grace Pageants and America’s National Grace will only be eligible for this title. This title is also only open to Georgia contestants. New contestants are still eligible for the Georgia State and Southern States Titles. Peach State Queens will receive a full round crown, trophy, state sash, and she will receive her registration fee paid to Nationals 2016.
Required Areas of Competition
Interview: 1/3 of final score
Each contestant will sit in a panel-style interview in front of all judges for 3 minutes. When contestants walk into the interview room, they will give a quick introduction. They will state their name, age and where they are from only. Interview questions will come from the contestant’s bio/emcee form. Judges will not ask current event or political questions. Judges want to get to know the young lady and see their personality. Contestants are required to wear an interview dress or suit. Choose something that reflects your personality.
Formal Wear: 1/3 of final score
Contestants must wear a floor length pageant dress that is age appropriate. Any color is acceptable. No mid-drift, two piece dresses. Judges will judge on overall first impression, appearance, stage presence and personality. Contestants will be allowed 90 seconds onstage in this event.
Casual Wear: 1/3 of final score
For this category clothing needs to be off the rack casual. No mid-drifts and no swim suits. Wear something that fits your personality. No custom music and no pro-am modeling. Contestants will be allowed 90 seconds onstage in this event.
Optional Areas of Competition
Photogenic: Optional, Photos are due May 27th.
Photogenic photos need to be emailed to Melinda Bell as a jpeg and as an attachment email@example.com
Photos may be naturally retouched but must still look like the contestant. No glitz photos. They will be scored by a different set of judges than pageant day judges.
Either color or black & white photos are acceptable. Please include contestant’s name and age division in your email. Judges will be looking for clarity, quality, and personality.
Ultimate Billboard Supreme:
The highest scoring photogenic photo will be named the Ultimate Billboard Supreme. The winner will have their winning photo displayed as a billboard poster at state. There will be one winner from ages 5-12 and one winner from ages 13-24.
Fun Fashion: Optional
For this category clothing needs to be runway ready. The outfit can be a cocktail, high-low, etc.
No mid-drifts and no swim suits. Wear something that fits your personality. No custom music and no
pro-am modeling. Contestants will be allowed 90 seconds onstage in this event.
Talent can be but is not limited to dance, acting, singing, instrument, etc. Note: There will not be a piano. You may provide your own keyboard. There will be a corded, handheld microphone. We do not have cordless or lavalieres. There is one microphone stand. If you need a stool, you must provide your own. Talent needs to be two minutes or less.

The stage is a professional theatre wood stage. The Xs will be a Front T with contestants ending in the front middle X. They will not finish in the back. The emcee will have them exit from the front. Below is an example.
