AMERICA'S NATIONAL GRACE STATE DIVISIONS

Jr. Princess 3-4 years

Princess: 5-6 years

Competition Information

Contestant must be a resident of Georgia to be eligible for Miss Georgia title.

Update: Contestants must be a resident of Georgia to be eligible for Miss West Georgia title.

Miss Southern States is a state title and is open title to all states.

Miss Southern Grace is open to all states. Does not advance to nationals.

Age divisions will coordinate with our national pageant.

Contestants must be between the ages of 3-18 on September 1, 2021. 

September 1st is the date that will determine the age division that the contestant will compete in at both the state and national pageant. She will compete in the same division for both state and if she qualifies for nationals.


By participating in the state pageant, you acknowledge, accept and agree to abide by all rules posted on our website and in the handbook. You also agree to all state title holder requirements.

Awards

3 Queens per age division: Miss Georgia, Miss Alabama & Miss Southern States

1st and 2nd Alternates and Directors Awards


There will also be a Miss Southern Grace title awarded per division. (No state obligations)

Age Division Side Awards: Fun Fashion Winner, Onstage Introduction Winner, Best Dress, Prettiest Smile & Best Personality

Optional Awards: Photogenic Winner and Ultimate Billboard Winner


Fun Fashion Supreme & Beauty Supreme: Large Crown, Sash and $50 Cash onstage! (Must have 5 or more entries to award cash)

State Title Information

Miss Georgia Titles will be awarded 1st to Georgia contestants in each age division and will come from formal wear/onstage introduction and fun fashion scores only. Open to Georgia contestants only. State Queens will be asked to sign a contract. We do not have a non-compete clause. Sample contracts can be found in the handbook given to contestants.


Georgia Queens will receive an official state crown, state trophy, state sash and her entry fees paid to Nationals 2021. ($285 value) 


Update: Miss West Georgia Title will be awarded 2nd to Georgia contestants in each age division and will come from formal wear/onstage introduction and fun fashion scores only. State Queens will be asked to sign a contract. We do not have a non-compete clause. Sample contracts can be found in the handbook given to contestants.


West Georgia Queens will receive an official state crown, state trophy, state sash and her entry fees paid to Nationals 2021. ($285 value) 


Miss Southern States Titles will be awarded after Georgia and Alabama titles. This is an open title and will come from formal wear/onstage introduction and fun fashion scores only. State Queens will be asked to sign a contract. We do not have a non-compete clause. Sample contracts can be found in the handbook given to contestants.


Southern States Queens will receive an official state crown, state trophy, state sash and $200 off her  fees to Nationals 2021. 


Miss Southern Grace Titles will be awarded 3rd and open to all contestants in each age division and will come from formal wear/onstage introduction and fun fashion scores only. No state restrictions. This opens the pageant to young ladies that need stage time, but are not able to obtain a state title with our system at this time.


Miss Southern Grace Queens will receive a crown, trophy and sash.

Required Areas of Competition

Formal Wear: 1/2 of final score
Contestants must wear a floor length pageant dress that is age appropriate. Any color is acceptable. No mid-drift, two piece dresses. Judges will judge on overall first impression, appearance, stage presence and personality. Contestants will be allowed 75 seconds in this event. 


Introduction: 1/3 of formal wear score

Contestants will have a short introduction onstage during their formal walks. They will enter the stage/room and present the intro at the first X which is located in the back. A national queen will hand them the microphone. Introductions must include but not limited to the following: Name, age and where they are from. Ex: Good morning ladies and gentlemen, Anna Loren Mazarky. I am 12 years old and representing Georgia. (You can make this your own.) Introductions must stay under 15 seconds and is timed separate from formal wear allotted time of 75 seconds. 


Fun Fashion Wear: 1/2 of final score

For this category contestants will wear fun fashion style outfits. Cocktail dresses, high-low, etc. Judges will judge on overall first impression, appearance, stage presence and personality. No mid-drifts and no swimsuits. Can be any style or color. Wear something that fits your personality. No custom music and no pro-am modeling. Contestants will be allowed 75 seconds in this event.

Pageant Rules

Hair:

Permanent hair extensions are allowed, as we can not ask a contestant to take those out. We do NOT allow clip on hair extensions or hair pieces for any age. A contestant will not be disqualified, however 1/10 of a point will be deducted from each judge on the appearance score from all stage events.


Make-up:

Ages 3-6: No full stage make-up in all areas of competition. Natural light make-up only. Powder, light blush, light mascara and lipgloss. 


Ages 7-12 may wear natural pageant make-up but enhanced for stage lighting: light blush, mascara, eye shadow, lipgloss, etc. 


Ages 13-18 can wear full stage make-up.


Tans:

Tans are allowed for all ages but not required. Keep them light and natural. No dark tans.


What’s NOT allowed:

Fake eye lashes and flippers are NOT allowed ANY age. A contestant will not be disqualified, however 1/10 of a point will be deducted from each judge on the appearance score from all stage events. 

Judging

We do not judge on facial beauty. We believe every contestant is beautiful, and we want to see the girls just have fun. Even though we tell our judges what our pageant system judges on, judges all have opinions, and you are being judged on their opinion. Your score will be a combination of their opinions. There will be out-of-town judges. Judges’ scores will be emailed after the pageant.


If you see a judge outside of the theatre, just say hello. Any lengthy conversation is unfair to the other contestants and not allowed. 

Optional Photogenic

Photos are due April 19th. Everyone is eligible if they submit a photo but the deadline.

Photogenic photos need to be emailed to Melinda Bell as a jpeg and as an attachment only. mbell@sgpageants.com.


Do not email photos from a cell phone. A cell phone changes sizing. Send original large file. 

Photos may be naturally retouched but must still look like the contestant. No glitz photos. They will be scored by a different set of judges than pageant day judges. Either color or black & white photos are acceptable. Please include contestant’s name and age division in your email. Judges will be looking for clarity, quality, and personality.


Ultimate Billboard Supreme:

The highest scoring photogenic photo will be named the Ultimate Billboard Supreme. The winner will have their winning photo displayed as a billboard poster at the state pageant. There will be one winner from ages 3-9 and one winner from ages 10-18.

Stage Set-UP and Schedule

The stage is a theatre wood stage. Looking at the stage, contestants will enter from back left. The Xs will be a front T with contestants ended in the front middle X.

0-2 yrs. Fun Fashion: 10:30 a.m.

0-2 yrs. Awards: 10:45 a.m.

3-6 yrs. Check-in: 10:30 a.m.

3-6  yrs. Formal Wear: 11:30 a.m.

3-6 yrs. Fun Fashion: 12:00 p.m.

3-6 yrs. Awards - Wear Formal Gowns: 12:45 p.m.

Lunch: 1:15-1:45 p.m.

7-18 yrs Check-in: 1:30 p.m.

3-6 yrs Interview Check-in: 1:45 p.m.

3-6 yrs Interview: 2:00-2:30 p.m.

7-18 yrs. Formal Wear: 2:30 p.m.

7-18 yrs. Fun Fashion: 3:15 p.m.

7:18 yrs Awards: 3:45 p.m.

7-18 yrs. Interview Check-in: 4:15 p.m.
